Who is the fairest one of all?

Oh the Evil Queen from Snow White… Who remembers her famous line?

Poor Queen Grimhilde. I feel for her. I know, I know she’s the villain, but hear me out…

The source of her misery came from comparing her beauty to everyone else’s in the kingdom.  She wasn’t happy with what she saw in the mirror not because she wasn’t beautiful, but because she heard that Snow White was prettier than her.  Vanity kept her from seeing that her beauty is incomparable and made her seek validation form the mirror to feel content.

How many of us do the same thing?

We beat ourselves up with the idea that we are not as pretty, as skinny, as tall as someone else. Someone once told us that: our boobs are too small, our butts are too big, the shape of our nose is just too weird, etc. We allow others to dictate our value based on society’s standards of beauty.  It is time to stop doing that. We are all beautiful just the way we are.

Physical beauty is so subjective simply because it’s true beauty is in the eye of the beholder.  Well, when we look in the mirror we are the beholder! Don’t let those destructive thoughts dull your shine.

Now, take a look in the mirror and ask yourself: “Magic mirror on the wall, who is the fairest one of all?”

You Queen! You are the fairest one of all. You are BEAUTIFUL just the way you are.
