Making Keto Pizza!

On a low-carb diet, who said Pizza was off the menu? Let me tell you honey, you are on the way to a ketolicious surprise. That cheesy, greasy, piece of pie you have been dreaming of is at the tips of your fingers. Not all pizza is created equal though so make sure to use the following recipe for the best low-carb, keto friendly pizza. Go on get cooking!

Ingredients:

  • Almond Flour – ⅔ Cup
  • Rao’s Pizza Sauce (low carb) – ¼ Cup
  • Mozzarella Cheese – 2½ Cup(Shredded)
  • Cream Cheese – 4 oz
  • Egg – 1 Large
  • Baking Powder – 1 Tablespoon
  • Salt – ½ Teaspoon
  • Dried Oregano – ½ Teaspoon
  • Keto toppings of your choice

Instructions:

  • Melt the Cheese. Throw 1½ cup of the shredded mozzarella and all the cream cheese into a microwave safe bowl and heat for 30sec. Then, take bowl out and stir. Continue doing this until everything is fully melted and mixed. Should be really quick (1-2min)
  • Add the almond flour into the bowl and make sure it covers most, if not all, of the surface of the melted mix
  • Add the salt, dried oregano and baking powder
  • Add the beaten egg (if you add the egg first it may begin to cook and you don’t want that)
  • Mix everything together with a spatula
  • Once mixed and not as hot, knead the dough with your hands to get it smooth. If it is too sticky, add a little bit of extra almond flour and knead until you get the right consistency
  • Set the dough on the pizza pan and shape it how you want it. You can use a roller or be like me and get your hands dirty
  • Bake the crust for 10 min
  • Spread the sauce on baked crust
  • Add the rest of the mozzarella cheese
  • Sprinkle on your toppings
  • Put back into the oven for another 5-8 min or until your desire readiness
  • ENJOY!
